When starting most exercise, it is very important you start with a good warm up and soccer training is no different.

You maybe training to boost your soccer fitness and soccer skills but it is very important to warm your muscles before you start. This will help you to avoid injury and pulling a muscle during your soccer workout.

Pulling a muscle or spraining an ankle are very common soccer injuries and can usually be avoided with a good warm up.

When you start a warm up your muscles are cold, and when your muscle are cold they are extremely tight. The tighter the muscle the more chance you have of getting an injury.

During a soccer match or in your soccer training your body is doing a wide range of tense movements. Such as quick turns, twisting, stretching, heavy impacts on ankles & knees.

All these can result in all kinds of injuries. For example you can sprain an ankle, twist a knee or tear knee ligaments or pull a hamstring.

When you go through you warm up you warm up these muscles. The tissues are more flexible and can generate a higher level of energy than when they are cold.

This reduces the chance of a muscle injury. Also once your muscles are warmed up you can react faster, run faster, generate more power and increase your overall soccer speed as well as having a better first touch.

When going through your warm up exercises it’s important to use a wide range of exercises to engage lots of different muscles and joints.

An example of small soccer workout would be to stretch out your legs by rotating the soccer ball with your foot in a circular motion.

This exercise is good exercise to loosen up the muscles in your legs, ankles, and feet.

Another exercise can to stretch out your arms by holding the ball above your head and moving it on different positions, like side to side and front to back.

Remember, before starting your soccer training regime to boost your soccer fitness, you should engage in warm up activities. These activities will allow you to reduce the possibility of an injury, mental prepare yourself for the upcoming training session, increase the amount of speed in your soccer workout, increase your overall power in the game, and help with the ability to perform certain movements. Integrating a warm up into the time period prior to soccer training can boost your overall performance.

The soccer skills needed can cultivated in lots of different way. A popular way is through first observing the required skill and then practicing that skill over and over again. Like with any skill it can only come through repeated practice. Many people use the concept of visualization to help them improve a particular soccer skill.

A soccer player becomes successful when he or she is accustomed to a certain move, a certain soccer drill that they can perform. As the soccer player keeps practicing the skill they are trying to learn, they keep gaining confidence in their abilities. This is a very important concept to master when trying to gain soccer skills…confidence. When you get confident of your ability to perform the skill, and you keep practicing during your soccer training, you will master that skill quickly.

A important skill vital in soccer training is to be able to control the ball. You basically can’t play soccer until you can control the ball. There are some moves that can help you to control the ball during your soccer training. These moves can be using your side foot to take the pace out of the ball. If the ball is coming down then you use the front of your foot where your toes meet your foot. It is also important that your coach reviews your technique so he can tell you what you’re doing right and what you’re doing wrong. Then you can do plenty of practice performing them!

During soccer drills, it is important to learn the soccer skill of heading. For this you use the upper side of the forehead in order to either control the ball with your forehead so you can bring it down to the floor or to head the ball away. Other popular techniques can include the following: diving, glancing, and flick. Your soccer coach will show you how to do all of these heading techniques so that you can master these heading techniques in your soccer exercises.

Dribbling is also a very important soccer skill that should be acquired during your soccer training. You will usually start off dribbling around cones. You may also learn about the cruyff turn, a nutmeg, stepover move, and more during this part of your soccer training. While there are a lot of tricks, lots of practice dribbling round cones in tight spaces and trying to increase speed will have much more impact on your soccer game than learning how to do a cruyff turn.

Soccer Fitness – Stretching Your Calf Muscles For Soccer Training

Probably the best method to prevent injuries in the legs when participating in soccer training is to make sure you get a proper warm up before you starting running around on the soccer field.

A important muscle to warm up is the calf muscle but it also only needs about 10 minutes and a good sturdy wall. This simple soccer workout will help with your overall soccer fitness.

You want to beginning stretching atleast 30 minutes before your due to play. If you face a sturdy wall you should stand around two to three feet from the wall. Once your in position, you should take your left foot and place it approximately one step in front of you.

Ok the next thing that you want to do for your soccer training is to stretch your calf muscles putting your hands flat on the wall that you’re facing. Now your body, such as you’re hips and shoulders should be facing the wall with you’re elbows slightly bent for comfort.

Ok so now you begin to bend you’re left leg at the knee but only slightly. You still need to keep your left foot flat on the floor.

Ok so you lean your body forward and stretch out your left leg. But all the time making sure your heel remains on the ground. You should now start to feel the pressure in your calf muscle. You should start with a slow amount of pressure and steadily work out until there is a higher amount of pressure in the calf muscle. You should then be holding the position for at least twenty seconds.

Once you’ve held that position for the 20 seconds, you should then go back up into the starting position and begin doing the same steps just with the other leg. You can do this by putting your right foot forward and proceeding with the same steps as you just did to stretch the calf muscles in the right leg holding the position once again for at least 30 seconds. This will get both sets of calf muscles receiving the same workout for your soccer training preparation.

Also, when you are stretching for soccer training, it is also important to stretch out you’re legs and ankles to get them warmed up and help avoid pulling any muscles or getting any sprains.

Another method of boost your running speed during soccer training is to you keeps your head tucked down. This position helps your body get into the ready mode for running. When you start to run, it will help to boost the rate of speed you are able to run. However, this doesn’t mean look at the floor during soccer training, so remember do not spend all your time looking down.

During soccer training, it is also important to pay attention to how you are running. Lots of people sometimes have the habit of running in a way that their arms seem to move across the body instead of forward. This can slow you down during soccer workout, rather than speed you up. If you find that you are experiencing this problem, concentrate on your running technique and focus on moving your arms appropriately. Also making sure the arms are moving in the right direction, it is also important to make sure that your head is facing the direction in which you are traveling.
